Hetal Ascher is a specialist in multilingual learner education and professional development. She holds a B.A. in English as a Second Language Education, a Minnesota K-12 ESL Teaching License, and an M.A. in ESL Education. She is currently pursuing a doctorate at the University of Wisconsin, Madison in Curriculum and Instruction.

Hetal has experience teaching in elementary, middle, and high school in various capacities including as an English learner teacher, sheltered content language arts teacher, reading interventionist, and instructional coach. She has experience both in American public school and in British international schools in Asia. She has experience working with Common Core, IGCSE, and IB curriculums.  

Over the years, Hetal has delivered professional learning workshops to educators all over the world on various topics including teaching reading for multilingual learners, scaffolding writing for multilingual learners, and supporting English learners in mainstream classrooms. She delivers workshops that are hands-on, engaging, and highly practical.
